Listen to Blake’s New ‘Six Pak’!!!!!

Five months after his first “six pak,” Hillbilly Bone, country star Blake Shelton returns with his second, All About Tonight, due out Aug. 10. The EP of a half-dozen songs is led by the title-track single, a feel-good foot-stomper co-written by Rhett Atkins, which is already a Top 10 hit on the Billboard country charts.

“All About Tonight has a vibe to it from beginning to end,” Shelton says. “The songs make you want to play air guitar. Even the ballads have a more sing-along quality to them.”

The disc includes two collaborations with Shelton’s fiancée, Miranda Lambert. “Suffocating” is a ballad that Lambert co-wrote with Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, while the mid-tempo “Draggin’ the River” features Lambert on vocals.

“I am extremely excited about the duet with Miranda,” says Shelton. “It is the exact type of duet our fans would expect us to do. We sing about being crazy in love and running away.”

Another noteworthy tune is the wistful “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.”

“I always wanted a song with a great pick-up line like George Strait’s ‘The Chair,’ ” Shelton explains. “Now I have my own.”

Miranda Lambert invited her friends Kellie Pickler, Laura Bell Bundy and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott to join her in the video for her new single, “Only Prettier.” The video is a mini-movie about two rival cliques of girls attending a 1950’s high school sock hop. The ”Only Prettier” video will make its world premiere on VEVO August 3rd at 12AM ET with a 48-hour exclusive. The video will be available on all media outlets beginning August 5.

I’ve had the pleasure of being her publicist and promoting her music from the very first Sony CD and I am so proud of all that she has accomplished. When Miranda called to say Blake proposed, I was so over-the-top excited for them. It was a who’s who of country music singers but even more fun than that was finally having the time to have Miranda, her manager and her parents out to the house. They have been around to hear about all the ups (our wedding) & downs (the tornado) of our own “House That Built Me” so it was a special time.

Caprice & her team at Enchanted Florist worked her magic with the flowers and helped me with our unique vintage & shabby chic displays (only she can show me how to love deer antlers on a table top)

and Shannon at Chef’s Market did an amazing job creating a menu that perfectly represented the couple’s favorite foods.

Blake & Tom at Nashville Event Lighting worked hours to turn the tent, house, pool and grounds into a romantic and rustic “picnic” style event (loved the twine balls!).

Tree Paine, Blake’s publicist had custom cowhide coozies as party favors and we did special all-access keepsake laminates.

Bacardi was happy to help with the party and supply the couple & guests with 3 signature drinks including the Mirandarita & Blakarita (Rum & diet sprite) which is their drink of choice. Det Distributing also contributed to the engagement festivities.

Rich Limousines transported guests up and down the hill who parked down below.

It wasn’t a late night as many had gigs the next day but it wrapped with some interesting interpretations of each other’s material as the pros put their pals on the spot to Karaoke compliments of Blair at Nashville Party Authority.

Miranda Featured On Blake’s Upcoming Six-Pack, “All About Tonight”

More details surrounding Blake Shelton’s upcoming ’six pak’ album have been released. The six-song collection will be named after the Oklahoma native’s fastest rising single to date, ‘All About Tonight,’ with the other five tunes including a special collaboration with Blake’s fiancé, Miranda Lambert. The ‘All About Tonight’ six pak, which was produced by Scott Hendricks (Trace Adkins, Brooks & Dunn), arrives in stores August 10.

Blake released the first six pak album, ‘Hillbilly Bone,’ in March, and it debuted at No. 2 on the country album chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200. He felt the project did everything he and his record label wanted it to do, but he still has one regret, which will be rectified this time around. “If I could go back to that first six pak, the only thing I would’ve done differently is I would’ve released a second single off of it,” he says. “So, when I say ‘All About Tonight’ is the first single off the second six pak, there’s going to be a second single this time. We’ve cut a bunch [of songs]. And that’s what I love about doing six paks is how often you get in there and record and how you’re constantly being sent brand new music from the best writers in Nashville.”

The other songs on the album are ‘Who Are You When I’m Not Looking,’ ‘That Thing We Do,’ ‘Got a Little Country,’ ‘Draggin’ the River’ (a duet with Miranda) and ‘Suffocating,’ which was co-written by his soon-to-be-wife and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.

Miranda to Open For Brooks & Dunn

Country music superstar duo Brooks & Dunn have added 3 dates to their critically acclaimed The Last Rodeo Tour. New tour stops include Oklahoma City, OK on August 20th, Little Rock, AR on August 21st and Holmdel, NJ on August 28th (complete list of ticket on-sale dates and tour stops listed below). In addition, country music legend Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert and Sara Evans have been announced to appear on selected tour dates.

The Last Rodeo Tour was postponed on the recommendation of doctors for Ronnie Dunn to go on immediate vocal rest. Of the restart and new dates Dunn emailed “Getting better every day. Kix and I will be raring to start where we left off ….and go for 3 additional dates to say thanks to all the fans for 20 years of showing us the love!”

A member of The Country Music Hall of Fame, Merle Haggard is one of the great living legends and a hero of Brooks & Dunn. Haggard will take the stage singing his classics, as well as songs from his latest release “I Am What I Am”.

2010 Academy of Country Music’s Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert will join on select dates. Lambert’s hit song “The House That Built Me” spent 4 weeks at #1 on the country music charts this Summer.

CMA and ACM winner Sara Evans is one of the preeminent voices in country music today. Her new single “Stronger” hits the airwaves later this year.
